Those who nursed past a year...

Was breast milk your childs only liquid or did they drink other things?

He's 22 months and nurses 3 times a day.

We nursed till 15 months, but she had soy milk after 12 months in a sippy cup.  And maybe water. I know we didn't start juice till later. Funny how quickly we forget LOL

My son is breastfeeding every 3 hours so I don't feel it's necessary. He's almost 14.5 months and just started solids at 13 months.

Same. He drinks water 90% of the time. He knows that other drinks are for tasting, but water is for drinking.

Quoting K8wizzo:

He drinks other liquids as well--water, some very diluted juice, occasionally almond milk if he wants some.

Other things. You don't need to limit.

18 months and still nurses a lot and gets Mots for Tots juice and water. She refuses all other milk. She usually somes and tugs at my shirt if she is thirsty and if I am sore I will ask her if she wants juice and she runs to the kitchen.
