I'm always reading about bf babies who are low on growth charts, but my baby has always been high on the growth charts. Is he too big? People always ask if I'm feeding him cream. He was 8-5 at birth and had gained 4 pounds at 1 month check up. He's been only gaining ever since. 8 months and around 25 lbs.
This is what I sent for him to eat when I had to work. Is my milk too fatty?
Once he gets more mobile, you'll start to see the weight gain slow and than people will be telling you he's too small! lol ;)
Your body makes milk for him. Hes healthy :)
How much milk is he getting how long are you away?

I work 7a-7p. He usually eats only 3-4 oz when I'm gone!
My first daughter was a chunky breast baby. I don't recall her exact weights but she was always in the 90th percentile on the formula charts that doctors use. And in the 20th for height so she was a short, fat baby!
My second daughter is tiny in comparison. She's almost ten months and is only about 26 inches long and 18 pounds. She has little rolls and sort of looks chubby but she's a light-weight.
Don't worry about the make-up of your milk. He's getting exactly what he needs. And I agree with pp. He'll start slimming down when he gets mobile.
A breastfed baby can't be overfed but a bottle fed breastmilk baby can be overfed so just double checking :)
Not all bf babies are tiny. One of our mommies has 1yo that are around 30lbs! It takes babies of all sizes to make those silly charts.
Mine like to see how low they can go >1% here :)

That's the thing, he's been crawling since 6 1/2 months (when he was 20 lbs). Now he's added 5 more pounds!

Guess I'm just being a worry wart first time mama! Any time we see someone we know, we always get the, "He's soo big!" comment.
