my nips feel they're on fire!

Everytime I start nursing from one side the other burns or when I start pumping as well. They feel like they're on fire for a few seconds, is this normal?

 do they itch too?  if so, it could be a yeast infection (thrush) on your nipples.

If it's a few seconds ONLY and then done, it may be letdown. If your nipples are pink or iot lasts more than a few seconds, it's thrush.

Time is the cure for the former. The latter/... cures on kellymom.com.

No itching only burning for a bit

yea its only a few seconds right as the let down is coming on the opposite breast

Does it go away? It just started like 3 days ago abnd iver been bf for almost 2 weeks

Yea it went away for me by the time she was a couple months old. It didn't do it every feeding, only when I was really full and it was less and less as my supply started to regulate. :)
