So my nipples are tore up bad. My son had a bad latch and since has been corrected. But due to the bad latch my nipples were cracked bleeding and skin peeling off .
So for now til the heal(hurts very bad for him to suck raw skin) i have a nipple shield on them can this cause nipple confusion?? How do i correct it once my nipples heal?

No, a shield won't cause nipple confusion. It's often a solution to it as well. She may get used to it though. I used one in the beginning, every other feeding so it didn't become a necessity.

Babies sometimes refuse to nurse without them.

For now, him nursing with the shield is far better than him not nursing at all.  Once your nipples are healed, take off the shield and see how it goes.  Some babies get attached to them, others can't wait to get rid of them, you won't know until you try.  There is info on kellymom on weaning from the nipple shield that you can look up or we can post if you need it.
