I know it is normal to go a little while without pooping after delivery, but I don't remember it taking this long with my older son.
I'm taking colace which they told me in the hospital to do until I pooped.
I'm also drinking a bunch and trying to eat things with fiber.
Is there anything else I can take that is safe for breastfeeding?
As long as you're not in any pain or discomfort, and the dr says it's ok, I wouldn't worry about it. Just keep doing what you're doing. Maybe have some coffee or oranges. Honestly, I was so sore from my episiotomy that I was scared to death to have a bowel movement.
This little guy was only 7lbs 3oz.
I just started feeling uncomfortable today and I have massive hemroids...

Since you are getting uncomfortable I would probably do a little miralax.

I didn't go till 4 days pp and I had a 4th degree tear. Also I used witch hazel tuck pads (which are normal hemorrhoid pads) numbing spray and hydrocortisone cream on my incision.
