is anyone breastfeeding their last child?

After failing breastfeeding with my previous babies I decided to stick with it this time around no matter how hard it gets. This is my third and last baby and I am so proud i have made it so far. My baby will be 6 months in a few days and has not had a bottle. I want to nurse until he decides to wean himself since i don't have a reason to wean him. I enjoy this bond with him. I'm so thankful i got to experience this with my last baby. My question is do you let your last baby wean by themselves or are you planning on weaning at a specific age?

this is my last baby.  We are going on 6 months as well.  She has had bottle ONLY at daycare.  I plan on self weaning.  My first was bf for 6 weeks but I was determined this one would be bf.  It makes me sad that she is my last one.  Breastfeeding is such a great bond!!  Congrats on making it 6 months!

Breastfeeding my first & most likely my last baby. We are going on 5 months with her never recieving a bottle & never having any food besides my milk. I couldnt be more proud of myself. I love a lot of things about breastfeeding, the bond between us, the convience of having food for her 24/7, how I know it's best for her & me. Planning on letting her wean on her own but I will cross that bridge when it comes. Congrats on making it this far :)

I've let my last 4 self wean. My 4 year old weaned at 3, my 2.5 year old twins are still going strong, and my 1 year old is still going strong as well. I'll let my last self wean. I can't tell you it's going to be super sad when he does lol!

All of my children were allowed to naturally wean.

I"m not sure if this is my last baby or not, we were convinced our 4th was the last, but here I am pregnant again ;)

I don't wean my kids, they wean themselves.  My 3 year old stopped asking or wanting to nurse at all when she was 2.  I'm hoping this one will at least nurse the same amount of time, if not longer.  I let all my kids decide, although all my other ones weaned because they didn't like the change in my milk from being pregnant, so they probably would have nursed longer.

I successfully bf'd my 3rd & thought he was my last but we are now expecting a VERY  huge surprise baby. This one will be nursed as well. I did not bf my older 2 past 6 & 8 weeks because I was uneducated & didnt have proper support. With my son I did & had these ladies here without whom I'm sure I wouldn't have nursed my son to 25 months! This one will be allowed to self wean!

I'm nursing my 3rd. I hope she's not our last. I let my older 2 self ween. Ds self weened at 30 months and dd1 self weened at 28 months.
Dd2 is 5 months and a nursing machine!
