What do I do? UPDATE! (in replies)

DD1 is 3.5. We BF until she was 3 weeks, then I quit and she had been FF ever since. DD2 is 11 months so DD1 has been exposed to breastfeeding for nearly a year. I expected her to have curiousity towards it but never much.

Out of nowhere, just now, she asked to nurse. She said "Mommy I want boobie milk" and started pawing at my shirt.

I was so shocked but didn't know what to say. What do I tell her?

Let her have it if your comfortable :) I bet she'll try it out and not want it anymore.

You can let her try to nurse if you're ok with that. You can say no if you're not. There is no right answer except the one that you're comfortable with. You could pump and give her some in a cup.

This! You can even ask her if she'd like to have it the way sister gets it or if she'd like for you to put some in a cup for her. IF you're comfortable with either way.

3 moms liked this

So I took yall's advice and allowed her to try!

I was perfectly comfortable with it, I just didn't want her running around telling people and them thinking I was weird. DH had no issue with it! She said she wanted it straight from the tap, so I let her latch on and she just looked at me like "Now what?", LOL. She got some, said she liked it, and decided she was done. She was latched for maybe 30 seconds?

I found it amusing and kinda sweet.
