Another update!!

We had an appointment with growth and nutrition.

The phsycologist who actually did most of the 1.5hr appointment was very nice. Respected our choice to wait on grains until after 1.

The dietician was pretty useless she pretty much only said she needs poly-vi-sol with iron......several times over and over. Oh and breastmilk changes over the course of time and eventually just become sugar and water. YAAAAHHH!!!! I forgot about that *insert eye roll* She also asked me several times if i was confident with my milk supply and then asked the phsyc lady if she actually heard gulping.

The doctor came in and said that he didnt think the lip tie had anything to do with anything and that it was because she was no longer being allowed to nurse 35 times a day. I told him i respect his opinion but i completely disagree. He'd only looked over a chart and had no idea who my daughter was and what we've been through. i explained the regressing, low diaper count, weight loss, low milk transfer amounts, lethargicness etc and that she is allowed to nurse 35+ times a day but that she choses not to now that she can actually get milk!! After my 3min speel he agreed that the lip tie likely affected her! Well DUH!!!!!

Anyways shes now 14lbs 6oz (yes thats a 1lb 3oz gain in less then a month!)

So their recs

Stop soft solids and only do purees so she can perfect her spoon feeding skills-NOPE

Try expressing milk so she will use her straw cup for milk not just nursing-NOPE

Mix oil in her purees-NOPE

Start Poly-vi-sol-NOPE although depending on the test levels will do Vit-D(non enfamil brand)

Helpful:

Her labs that the GI specialist new nothing about were a little concerning. She likely has at least the genetic blood disease my son had and may also have a childhood blood disease that he had affecting his white counts. So i may be looking forward to more fevers in the upcoming months. They repeated all her labs from last time and included Vit-D, iron, Calcium etc. Which i completely agree with becuase i would never give a supplement without labs reflecting a defficiency.

Once we have an apartment i'll be able to feed her real meals. Alot of our food is super processed, from a jar/can/box etc and i'm not feeding her that crap.

She is still gagging with solids but they feel that its either from the ptt or a delayed feeding abilities, she also puts her fingers in her mouth during solids and the phsyc lady said thats pretty classic of reflux babies it soothes them and reassures them.

Just wanted to give you guys an update! Thankyou for all your help and advice! :)

Thankyou! That is soooooo sweet and very much appreciated!
It's hard sometimes when drs try to bully rush us and guilt trip us but this group has been such an incredible resource and encouragement to me that it has given me knowledge and confidence in that knowledge. :)

Just to clarify, did a doctor actually say "sugar water" or were you just being sarcastic?

Ok, first, wow nutritionist is an IDIOT. Any chance of bringing in paperwork to show she's an idiot?
Second, good job in standing up for yourself and your baby!!!
