Yet another Vitamin D Question

I guess since it's the winter months and harder to get outside more vitamin d questions are coming up so here's mine.  I've been trying to find more information on this and haven't been super successful does baby need direct sunlight to produce vitamin d or is indirect sunlight enough.  I live in apartment that no matter what time a day the sun never shines directly through any of our windows.  We do have plenty of light coming in from outside just not direct sunlight.  Also when I do take my babies outside do they need to be in direct sunlight to get the benefits.  Anybody know anything about this or know of any articles about this?  Thanks for your help!

Indirect sunlight is fine. Kellymom.com has an article on vitamin D supplementation for babies with a link to how much sunlight is needed. I just went to kellymom.com and searched vitamin D for infants. Hope this helps!
