My 3- Year old wants to breastfeed

My three year old son hasn't stopped breastfeeding. I've read that this can be a good thing and a bad one. As I see it he enjoys it and so do I. But is it really bad or do the goods out weigh the bads.

My son nursed until he self weaned not long after his 3rd birthday and I don't see anyway my 2.5 year old twins will be done by 3. Nothing wrong with a 3 year old nursing.

How much longer should I breastfeed?

Good far outweighs bad. All nutrients and antibodies are still there to protect him. The average age for nursing worldwide is 4-7. I have yet to figure out what would be bad about extended nursing!

Until it's no longer comfortable for either one of you. If you both still want to, keep on doing your thing lol!

As long as mom and child mutually desire nursing, it is great!

Jacky (My son) wants to continue breastfeeding. I've asked him several times and he always has the same answer. That being said when should I ween him onto a bottle?

You can keep nursing until he weans on his own and I wouldn't consider giving a bottle at this age. He can have a sippy now or even better a cup and straw.

My youngest weaned at 39 months. I didn't think there was anything "bad". That's a rare and lucky baby

I can't seem to think of one "bad" thing to weigh the good against. It's a no contest. If you both are happy continuing, continue. :)
