I have a two day old and I'm ebf but she's very hard to burp. Do babies that are best fed burp less? I know they spit up less and have less digestive problems. She latches really weell so I'm wondering if she doesn't intake much air while latches onto the breast.

I never burped DS. He is almost 10 months now. Occasionally he burped on his own when he latched and unlatched over and over getting air.

I had one son i ff and the other i am bf. the one i have nurse rarely burped so after a few months i stopped trying. He still doesnt burp often. My ff son aways burped  every time, like huge ones. So in my case that is true!

I've never burped my babies either.

It's been the opposite for me. My first 2 kids were formula fed and didn't burp a whole lot. But my current little one is almost 3 mths and is ebf and I have to burp him every few minutes because of my insane over active letdown. I can literally hear him swallowing massive amounts of air, it's ridiculous. He also spits up a lot because of it. Unfortunately all the "tricks" for taming the letdown have been unsuccessful for me.

Rarely ever burbed my boys. They didn't seem to need it. If they needed to burp, they'd burp on their own.

My bf baby never burps she did go through a phase of spitting up almost constantly. It was between 2 & 4 months she would spit up about 15 to 20 times a day. Never cried while spitting up & never projectile vomiting, she was a happy spitter but it was everywhere. She just finally stopped & she's 5 months.

Once past the overactive letdown stage, mine never did.
