I know this rant has been posted a million times..
But I'm still boggled as to why I will get dirty looks while I NIP with not even a CM of flesh showing... But it is totally acceptable for a girl to wear a low cut shirt to the point her areola is peeping out??! Anyone have a good reason?

Our culture has everyone thinking boobs for sex are awesome so boobs for babies put a damper on that notion.

I cover and people still look disgusted. Absurd.

I've never had that experience. I'm getting ready to nurse #3 when she arrives. Hopefully I don't have any negative experiences.

This makes me absolutely crazy. You can be hiding in another room and some people still get horrified. Just the mere *thought* of a baby at the breast gets some people weirded out. So it's definitely not about seeing boobs or even skin. There was a story last year about a breastfeeding woman who was asked to cover up in a modern art museum, nude paintings and sculptures and photos all over the place, yet this discreet breastfeeding woman "offended" someone.

Haven't had that yet but I have had people who look at me then quickly advert their eyes. I'm always covered though.
