Cows Milk and Breastfeeding

My dd turned one yesterday and I plan on letting her self wean.  I have had several people tell me to start giving her cows milk (nobody has suggested I wean just to add cows milk into her diet).  I really don't feel she needs it.  She eats cheese, yogurt, etc. so I know she is ok with diary. I just don't see any point giving her cows milk yet.  Opinions?

No one ever needs it. Except baby cows.

I started giving it to my son sometime after a year. Mostly because I wanted him to like it. He won't nurse forever and when yiu introduce foods younger then they are more likely to like them. I want him to like milk when hes older. At 20 months now he usually has 2 or 3 small bottles of milk a day plus he nurses several times a day. if he's getting solids I see no point in refusing him milk. It never changed how muxh he nursed. His activity level changed that.

Milk is never needed by any human. My kids get nothing but breastmilk(for the ones still nursing) and water. You can give her some water in a cup when she gets solids if you want, but milk is never needed.
