My dd turned one yesterday and I plan on letting her self wean. I have had several people tell me to start giving her cows milk (nobody has suggested I wean just to add cows milk into her diet). I really don't feel she needs it. She eats cheese, yogurt, etc. so I know she is ok with diary. I just don't see any point giving her cows milk yet. Opinions?
Quoting PEEK05:She doesn't need it. :) She doesn't need it ever to be honest.
Quoting ceckyl:
No, it's never needed.
Milk is never needed by any human. My kids get nothing but breastmilk(for the ones still nursing) and water. You can give her some water in a cup when she gets solids if you want, but milk is never needed.
