Should I stop nursing if I get or am pregnant? I don't want to but I only want  the best for my children and my self.

No need to. I personally won't get pregnant within a year or two...but there's no danger in continuing. Some lose their supply after a while. That's why I wait.

Would it be a high risk pregnancy? If not, no reason to wean.

I dont think it would be nessasary to wean. Alot of babies will turn the breast down anyway after a sertain point of the pregnancy, either the milk changes in taste ( becomes salty from hormones) or it will dry up. Some babies will comfort nurse even with no milk. Do you plan to Tandem nurse? Thats what I plan on doing if I get preggo before my DS is ready to stop.

No but I am not preventing it either. I just haven't had a period since I had my baby so I get worried.

Tandem nursing is nursing your older child and new baby.

How old is your LO? If you are exclusively breastfeeding it is normal not having period in a while, mine came back when LO was 4 months old, but I know it can be longer.

Also know my mom didn't have a period in 3 years, just the PP bleeding. My sister and I are 1yr 1 day apart, my sister and my brother are 10months apart.

I'm currently 36 weeks pregnant and nursing my 30 month old.
My period did not return until he was 20 months.
I've had no problems associated with continuing to nurse while pregnant :)
