Is there a fairly painless way to dry up my milk?  We lost our daughter to SIDS on February 7 and I have been full and SORE since.

Meanwhile, ice packs and cabbage leaves in your bra.

Why the cabbage?

I'm so sorry for your loss.  Estrogen birth control will work quickly.  Until then just hand express enough to relieve pressure and cold cabbage leaves.

It slows down production.

How are you hanging in there btw? Are seeing a counselor at all?

Sage tea like 6 x a day. Hand express as little as possible to relieve engorgement and avoid plugged ducts and mastitis.

I'm so very sorry. I know how you feel and I will pray for a little peace for you. Hugs.

((HUGS)) mama I'm so sorry.
Cold cabbage leaves, decongestants, "No More Milk" tea, mint and sage are all ways to help speed up the process. The fastest way however would be to get on estrogen birth control, that would dry you up within days. Expressing *just* enough when the engorgement is too much will help prevent clogged ducts and mastitis.
