Mastitis again...question

I think I'm getting mastitis again. I don't have flu symptoms yet, but my breast is sore to the touch under my nipple and I'm starting to feel under the weather. Can I fight it off before having to have an antibiotic? I've had a warm diaper on it all morning. Is there anything else you recommend?

Rest, drink extra fluids, and nurse, nurse, nurse!

The most important thing is to get the clog out!

Stand in the shower, let the hot water flow over your breast and hand express if you can. Some women also stroke down with the back side of a comb.

Thanks guys, I went ahead and went to the er bc I couldn't take the pain/ flu symptoms anymore. I got an antibiotic and I'm gonna keep trying to work on the clogged ducts.

I took lecithin for my recurrent mastitis and haven't needed an antibiotic since. My lactation consultant recommended it.
