Position battle

My son is 3 weeks old and has enjoyed the football hold to nurse since birth till last week now he wants to be in the cradle hold but doesn't latch properly in that hold yet. Well now I go to put him in the football hold and its a battle to get him to calm down and latch but he does calm down, latch and eats wonderfully. I'm wondering why he is protesting?

It might be because of a growth spurt. The 3 week growth spurt is a really tough one. My baby was super fussy during that time. I don't know if that has anything to do with the positions but it's a possibility.

It does sound like a growth spurt to me as well. But it's also not uncommon for a baby to decide they don't like a position anymore.
