possibly donating milk-need advice

I seen a woman on a local swap shop on Facebook looking for a milk donor. So I messaged her and ask what the deal was. She said its for her friend she has a ten week old with failure to thrive and that she donates to her as well.

Is there any reason I shouldn't do this ? And if I do how do I do it? When do I pump? How many times a day? Ect......

I know I already replied to your other post. But I just wanted to say that Sadie (who is in here and our birth group) donates so you might want to pm her

I donate my milk to a friend as well. But I don't nurse at all, just exclusively pump. So I pump every 3-4 hours 24 hours a day. Each night I bag whatever excess I have after my daughter goes to bed and freeze it to donate. So I know my daughter's needs are met first and whatever is left is just extra anyways. I usually have 3-4 bags (18-24 oz) extra each day.

No reason not to. Pump as often as you are able to.

There's always milk being made, no one will be missing out. :)
Pump whenever it's convenient for you!

I pump for work. Anything left over after his needs goes into my freezer. Once I have a decent amount I post it on hm4hb and then either meet up or the mom comes to me to pick up. The only thing I do special is when I freeze, I freeze in 6oz portions instead of the 2-3ozs I would normally do for myself.
