Birth control???

Hello ladies, I'm new to the group. My dd is now 3.5 weeks old and I see my midwife next week for my pp check up. I was looking for some info on what birth controls are safe for me and baby while breast feeding. I know there's the mini pill, but I'm a little nervous about the failure rate. Anyone end up pregnant on it? Is there anything else that is recommended for bf'ing moms?

Thanks :)

Some other options besides minipill include IUDs (Mirena has hormones, Paragard does not), Depo Provera, diaphragm and condoms, Natural Family Planning (which is NOT the rhythm method).

All forms of course have a failure rate.

Nothing with estrogen. It's a known supply killer.

While breastfeeding, I rely on my personality as birth control.  :)

Implanon/ Nexplanon is the implant that goes in your arm. It's like the hormonal iud except it doesn't last as long. If I'm not mistaken ins three years. I'm getting one this month.
