Not engorged?

Every morning when my baby wakes up to eat I am usually super engorged. Baby girl is 2 months & 4 days old, and she sleeps 4-5 hour stretch at night, usually 1:30am to 6:30am. This morning I woke up after 4.5 hours to feed her and I wasn't engorged at all, now I'm really worried that my supply is dropping. I had to supplement my first and was never engorged with her. Is there a reason I'm not full like usual?

Your body constantly adjusts to demand. When baby starts to regularly sleep through night, your body no longer overproduces at this time. Engorgement isn't good as it signals body to slow production. Soft and "empty" boobs are regulated and producing boobs. :-) Unless diaper count drops off you can be assured your supply is just fine. Likely baby is taking more during day, getting more efficient by 2 months so she's quick at it, too.

You've likely regulated. Just breath momma. The only way to tell if you need to supplement is a low diaper count. If she has 6 diapers she's good! And it's right around the time for another growth spurt so don't worry if she acts starved. Just put her back to the breast.

It sounds like your milk is regulating. So bye bye to porn star boobs!

Ok, thanks ladies! It just startled me when I woke up to feed her and they weren't bursting lol. She is 9 weeks today and weighs 9lbs 12oz. She was 7lbs 6oz at birth but got down to 6lbs 10oz at 3 days old.

She's gained just about 3 pounds in two months? That's amazing! We look for a minimum gain of one pound a month.
