My little sisters friend, who is 17 just had her second child yesterday. Her first is only a year old. She didn't have a lot of support and quit BFing with her first after only a couple of days .

Well her new baby was born a month early weighing only 5lbs and she is committed to breastfeeding! She said that since he is a little premie he needs the breast milk more than anything! The nurses at the hospital she delivered at are very encouraging. They are even going to let her come home early since she is breastfeeding and he is doing well!

Yay!

When I talked to her today she said that all the info I gave her along with all my pro breastfeeding posts on Facebook is what made her decide to do it! A few weeks ago I had a real heart to heart with her and encouraged her to bf and to go back to school and she is doing both!

I'm so proud of her right now!

Any ideas on why to put in shift bag for her?

I was going to take all my newborn clothes to her and maybe get her some reusable breast pads, some nipple cream, receiving blankets (to stuff her bra with), and a gift for her older child.

So e snacks and drinks! Something you can eat/drink with 1 hand.

Goid for her! I hope she sticks to it.

A good reusable water bottle and the book "So that's what they're there for!"
