August, my 7 month nothing but gums usually sweet baby is starting to chew and tug on my nipples. I'm sure it's teething but it hurts! Anything I can do?

Start teaching nursing manners.
Don't react other than firmly saying no and unlatching. Do not yell, scream, smother into your breast or flick the baby. If you do, baby may think its a game or not want to bf again. Relatch if baby wants to. If baby bites again, do above and sit baby on floor for 1-5 minutes. Relatch. Bite again, repeat, put on floor and walk away. Baby will learn, hopefully quickly, that biting equals no milk.

What are you doing to treat the pain? Hylands tablets and an amber necklace will help a lot!

I am looking into an amber necklace. I am not big on teething tablets. I let him chew on frozen banana or teether and if it's really bad I give him baby ibuprofen.
