Ovulation and Major painful nipples/breasts

 Hi Ladies,

Would love some advice or suggestions. I am ovulating and my breasts/nipples are sooooooo sore! Worst of all, I have to pump while I'm at work. Everytime baby latches on or I have to pump, I cringe. I'm so sore, that even getting out of the shower and putting a towel around myself, hurt like heck. My little man is going to be 9 months old on Wednesday. I really want to feed him until he is a year old, longer if I can. But this really hurts and it sucks! Sorry to be such a complainer. I will power through it and keep feeding him until he is a year old, but I worry that I might not go past a year if this keeps up. I tried using the lanolin while pumping, but it still hurts.

Ice or breast gel pads. Fortunately, ovulation does pass. Is this your first one since he was born? That might explain the extra tenderness.
