stopped pp bleeding @4 weeks. had 2wk period around 6 wks then stopped for a week spotted/light for a week then repeated. this last month i havent bled at all. normal for ebf or not...? thanks

That probably wasn't a period at six weeks. That was more postpartum bleeding; it can come and go. And yep, normal.

I think it's a general rule that any bleeding in the first 6 weeks is considered post-partum lochia still, not a period. That bleeding can get heavier again depending on your activity level, like if you go back to work standing on your feet or are chasing other kids more often, the bleeding starts back up.

While it's not completely impossible, I'd be very surprised if it was a period. Breastfeeding moms who nurse on demand day and night, and don't use pacifiers or bottles EVER, can go months and even years before they get a period back. The earliest I've ever gotten my period is 16 months postpartum and the latest, with my last baby was 26 months postpartum for that first period.
