I pretty much just wore PJ's for the first month after having a c-section with my second. I didn't feel good enough to get dressed up and go anywhere. I just wore whatever I could get my breast out easiest with, which was usually something lower cut.

Maxi dresses are great, but any crossover bodiced dress works.

I had lots of stretchy v-necks, cowl neck and surplus (crossover) tops at the beginning. Then I could just wear a nursing tank underneath, both for nursing ease and to hide/smooth my belly.

I bought some nice nightgowns for the first few weeks at home, so I would be pretty and comfortable if I had visitors.

Nice roomy nightgowns and a long bathrobe in the winter. :3

Night gowns. Scrub pants and tank tops. My maternity knit pants. I didn't wear anything special, just for comfort.

No c-section, but I wore the hospital gowns right after, and once I got home anything that was comfortable! Tank tops were easiest with breastfeeding.

First 6-12hrs (depending on how bleeding was) the hospital gown. After that tank top, yoga pants and a lights weight long sleeve sweater thing. Wore maternity jeans home cause I wanted to go out to eat. I was starving and we were two hours from home. Maxi dress is probably a good idea since it won't put any pressure on your incision.
