How to wean from the last ones

I've got my dd down to only bf wake up, before and sometimes after nap, bedtime and at night. How do I wean her off those last ones? She used to nurse every 2-3 hours day and night. She is 25 months now. I'm also pregnant (4 weeks so just barely) and I know I can't eat enough for all 3 of us. She is fully capable of going to sleep without nursing as she had to at the sitter and with dad, but I'm not working anymore so I'm with her all day.

Time the sessions. And make them shorter every couple of days.

How do I time the ones where she nurses to sleep?

For that one, DAD gets bedtime. You're gone from her world at that point.

You will have to find new routines. There will be a big adjustment period. Expect crying.
