I was wondering how long it for you to have a period while breastfeeding? My lo is almost 13 months and I still haven't had one. Is it normal to go that long?

I got mine at about 7 months and felt totally ripped off. Lol. I have a few friends who went as long as 18 months.

12 month and 1 day for this current child. She is now 25 months and it has been every month since then, except this month.

It can happen at 6 weeks for some and 28+ months for others.

Eveyone I have known started there's around 6 or 7 months. I thought thats when most people started. I didn't realize you can go that long thank you for sharing that with me.

I knew a woman who was period-free for a decade. Three babies in that time. Just because your period isn't back doesn't mean you're not fertile so if you don't want to be pregnant, take precautions.

You are all SO lucky! I nursed on demand (literally it was 24/7) and both times I got my period back by 5-6 weeks... :(  (I even pumped inbetween feedings because I overproduce a TON, like 7-8 ounces...) No clue why I was so unlucky.

26 months postpartum with my youngest. With my other 3 it was 16 months (a month after weaning), 25 months (a month after weaning) and 20 months (was still nursing).

Depends on the person. I got mine back 5 weeks PP with both my boys even though I EBF and never gave them bottles. I was very upset...lol But my mom said she didn't have her period for almost 2 years with breastfeeding one of her kids.
