So I haven't posted in a while because I hadn't been nursing. But my newest nurser was born yesterday!

My milk is coming in already. It was close before I delivered.

So instead of having 10 drops of colostrum I have tons of fluid and he's gulping at let down. I can't imagine his belly is ready for that so I pull him off but maybe I shouldn't?? Thoughts?

He's beautiful!

I think if he wasn't ready, he would pull himself off. Just watch for spurting and choking. You can also nurse him more upright instead of him laying down.

Don't pull him off! His stomach will stretch as needed as your milk increases.
Congratulations!!! :-)

Yet on the other hand gulping can cause gas. So recline instead. Baby over the breast, tummy to tummy.

Thanks all! He's doing better with it. Improving every feed. Definitely prefers my L side though.
