Ladies!

thank you for the advice, I am glad I have this group to help get me though the next few months.

After reading your posts last night, I decided put my son back on the breast and pump from the breast he is not feeding from. He feeds for 10 mins and that's all. I have pumped 3 ounces between both breast after his feeding every 2 hours.

He seems full. How do I know for sure?

Also, he has not burped after this breast feeding and he always burped after the bottle, is this ok/normal?

Forget the word full and think about diaper counts, if your baby gets 6 diapers a day then baby is getting plenty of milk!

and theres less burping needed at the breast because less air is taken in

Thanks, should I pump from the breast he feeds from? He just feed at 1. The pumped after (both breasts) then he was hungry at 2. He kept unlatching like there wasn't milk in there so I gave him the 3ounces I just pumped. He took all 3. This is the first time in 12 hours he did last the 2 hours.

1 mom liked this

There is ALWAYS milk, just a slower flow..if you want him to keep nursing just out stubborn him.  GIving the bottle will make him prefer it.

Its up to you about the pumping, thats totally up to you
