Nursing from just one breast per feeding?

My dd is 8 days old and I am wondering if feeding from just one breast per feeding is ok. I did this with my ds but didn't start doing it this way until he was about 6 month old. My dd seems to e content with just one side per feeding. Is it ok to do supply wise? Sorry if its a stupid question just wanna make sure.

I've nursed 7 kids and that is usually how I did it and never had a problem.

I did it as a way to combat my overactive letdown (OL) and my oversupply (OS).

If you don't nurse from both sides, it might tell your body to start producing less...  Keep an eye on that!

That's how I nurse my DD. She eats until she is full,I don't break her off. She is gaining weight as she should. Plus then she is getting all the good milk(:

Yep, perfectly fine :), just listen to baby's cues and yoy should be fine. My 11 day old sometimes only nurses one side and sometimes cluster feeds and goes back and forth

You listen to your baby. If baby only wants one side, baby only needs one side.

When my daughter was younger I would feed on one side each feeding. Now that she is 6 months old I feed her on both sides each feeding to get her extra full haha

Lexi nurses on my left side for a whole feeding for two feedings in a row, and then once on my right. My right way over produces. She gaining weight correctly and I haven't had any problems with my supply
