So i just got a job 2 weeks ago. I like to nurse as much as i can because i work 7 hours. My dd sleeps a lot during the time i am at work. But i still come homw feed her and she stays asleep. Shes even asleep when i get home at 3 pm.

I only have a 30 min lunch. I work close to home its avout a 6 min walk ther then 6 min back. So thats about 12 min. Then i get home i change her and feed her. Then i am lucky if i have 10 min to eat.

It is getting to me but i make due with the time.

So the girls at work.get he fact that i want to nurse but i also come back hungry and out of breath, from walking back fasr just so i can try to have that10 min, but they keep telling me to feed her more solids and nurse her less.

I really dont feed her solids, but her dad does but not that much.
So i guess my question is this, Is my breastmilk alone to keep her full? She eats before, during lunch, after and more while im home. when i leave to work she is asleep. When i get home she is asleep. When i get home she is asleep. So im just in between of if it is alright to continue doing what im doing and it being fine.
I really dont want to feed her solids myself/=

BM will keep her full.  BF BEFORE you give baby solids.

And buy a bike!  You'll take that 6 minute walk down to 1 minute, tops!  :)

Solids are NOT supposed to replace your milk until at least a year anyway. Any solids given should be only immediately after nursing so she gets the necessary nutrition from your milk.

Ignore them. Can you express any milk to leave with her so you can take your break to actually eat?

You could try planning meals in advance, or eating while you walk?

Breastmilk is all she needs. If you don't want to replace milk with food, don't. It's that simple.

niether of my kids had much solids before a year. as long as shes growing and you have a good supply and diapers are good, theres no real reason to add soilds. if you do give them after a nursing session so she fills up on breastmilk and snacks on solids. keep up the good work, but yes get a bike lol

Even so i like to rush my teeth and all so all that in 10 min and thst ten min if i get the whole time goes by quick. Because sometimes she takes longer to eat.
I just wanted to make sure she was good only on the bm.
I feel better knowing, and as long as i know shes fed i can survive on at least 10 min lunch.

Thanks (=

She is actually doing reverse cycling-- sleeping while you're gone and nursing when you're home. Normal and desirable. Look up baby-led solids on kellymom.com. Lots of guidance and support there.
