Hi ladies
My son is 14 months old and currently still is breastfeeding . My husbands side of the family are always harassing me about getting him off of my boob...they believe that he's way to old to still be breastfeeding...and he hasn't shown any signs of weaning.... when do you think a baby is to old to still be breastfeeding?

When it's no longer mutually ok with mom and child. :)
No one else gets to make that decision

Puberty?   I'd definitely push weaning by then.

Seriously... he's a BABY!   He still needs to nurse.   You're doing great, tell them to mind thier own business.

We do child led here. My oldest weaned somewhere between 3.5 and 4 yrs old.
My second weaned around 2.5 yrs but had outside influence (I had 2 miscarriages).

The World Health Organization recommendation is a minimum of 2 years.

I personally would not go over 2 years. All of my kids self weaned by 18 months though. It is really up to you and how long you feel cofortable breastfeeding your child.

When BABY no longer wants to. The World Health Organization says two years MINIMUM.

As you your in-laws... "In law" is a suffix meaning TO BE IGNORED. Do so.

Babies should be breastfed until a minimum of 2 years old, according to the WHO and a former US Surgeon General, and then for as long after that as mutually desired by mother and child. My ds nursed until he was 3 when I had to wean for a medical reason. He's 3.5 now and would likely still be nursing.
