Weaning

I need some tips on slow or gentle weaning. My son is 14 months. Ideally if possible I'd like to nurse at nap and bedtime only for a month or two so and then wean entirely by 16 months. I'm having some health issues I need to resolve.

Any tips?

It's always the same... one feeding per week till gone. Distract and delay. Tell him we'll nurse "after Barney" and then keep the promise.

There WILL be resistance if he's not ready. Depending on the health issues, you may be able to start treatment and keep nursing.
