i have Medicade and am wondering what kind of breast pump do they give you my dr said i'll have to get a breast pump bc with my son he  wanted me to give him a 2oz bottle of breast milk after each nursing to make sure he was getting enough and gaining the 10% back, he said he'll do the same with this baby so i'm just wondering what pump does medicade give you?

It varies, since every state is different. You'll need to call and ask.

The dr wants you to give a full bottle feeding after a full nursing session?! That is going to overfill the poor baby's stomach and stretch it out!

By the way... this doctor steered you all kinds of wrong with baby 1. Remember the smile nod ignore technique.

He wanted to make sure he was gaining enough weight bc he was so small when he was born, when he left.

Does the Dr know that every baby is different?

No need to supplement unless there's a transfer problem and there are not enough diapers or weight gain.

Do you have Medicaid only for the pregnancy/pp care!? I do and it's only good for 2 months pp so I have to return the rental pump Medicaid covered.

I have no idea either. I have medicaid, but I already have a pump. You shouldn't be pumping or giving bottles at all in the beginning. Just count diapers, that's how you know baby is eating enough.

I think the Dr just wants to make sure I have a pump just in case we have any probs
