My OB wants to put me on Progesterone for a month because the shot has depeleted my estrogen levels. Is that safe to do while breastfeeding? I don't want to hurt my supply or the baby

What shot depleted your estrogen? Why give progesterone? I don't understand the point here.

Progesterone shouldn't affect your supply. It should be okay...but it could cause a supply issue.

The depo provera shot IS progesterone, or right next to it. What symptoms are you trying to treat? Estrogen is a known supply killer so I wouldn't look to elevate it.

You shouldn't have a problem with progesteron. I started taking the mini pill (birth control) which is just progesterone and it's the only safe birth control to take while you're breast feeding and I haven't had a problem with my supply at all.
