Help! Stomach bug :/

My 13 months old, August is suffering from his first stomach bug. Most of his liquid intake is still BM. Well every time he nurses he immediately throws it up. I am so worried about him becoming dehydrated. He has been pretty weak and lethargic this morning. Any suggestions on what to give him? He won't drink pedialyte.

Nurse frequently but for shorter time. Watch his diaper count. He should still do 4-5 in twenty four hours. If the lethargy doesn't lift in 2-3 hours, call pedi and go to the emergency room; sooner if you think you need to--you know best and are there to see how he's acting.

I agree watch his diapers and take him to the doctor if he remains lethargic or is not making diaper count. Keep nursing on demand, he may be throwing up, but that doesn't mean he isn't keeping any down. Hope he feels better asap mama!

Breastmilk is so easily digested and absorbed that some is absorbed even if he vomits right after nursing. Keep nursing on demand and watch for signs of dehydration.
