Just wants to comfort nurse but can't because it triggers let down and he chokes :/

Poor guy just trying to relax. Guess I just have too much of a good thing.

Do you do reclined nursing?

As much as I can. I have a hard time with positioning. I'm just hoping my supply goes down a little bit around 6 weeks. It never did with my dd.

Any position where he is not under the breast will help.
You may need to do block feeding to reduce the oversupply.

I switch to the side that is less full when they just want to comfort nurse.

If you can nurse side laying that will help too

I swear they're both empty and sure enough he pops off and milk just sprays. Oh well could be worse :)

Thank you. Will try block feeding in a couple more weeks.

I would go ahead and start block feeding now to help your supply regulate. Also, look up galactagogues on kellymom.com and see if you may be consuming anything inadvertently that is increasing your supply.

(Sorry if this is obvious but) Can my 2yo still nurse if I'm block feeding? I'm guessing she would just get the same boob as babe?

I haven't gotten to my computer yet but from mobile it looked like the galactagogues are the herbs? There are foods though too right?

Thank you.
