I had my son last week Friday and my 2 1/2 year old is still bfing as well, I pump and I don't get a lot and DS' s diapers don't look normal like the mustard seed color. Now he does have jaundice so I'm not sure if that would make his poops look diff or not. But he is getting more then enough diaper.

. The LC at the hospital said to only pump once a day, in 2 weeks I can start pumping more. She just wants to make sure DS gets enough but not to much. I would like to start building a stash but not getting a lot. An I doing something wrong?

Why do you need a stash? You really shouldn't lump until 6 weeks.

I want a stash so my older son can have milk as well if he wants it in a cup.

My daughter had jaundice, and while she did her poop was a brownish color instead of the yellow.

Normal pump output is .5-2oz for both breasts.

The poop looks brown and he gets 8-12 a day and 90% of them are poop.

He does get a good amount of peer diapers as well.

Ok, I would still put the pump away so your supply can regulate, and then only pump once a day, or you will bring in an over supply which can cause issues with baby. As for the poop , brown is in the normal range of color , or could be from the jaundice.

Pump output means nothing. I can't pump anything and never have been able to. His diaper out put is great and brown can be normal. I don't see anything to worry about.
