Wondering if you're dealing with lip/tongue ties or needing to know what to do know that you have them diagnosed?  This is a great guide to help you navigate the frustrating world of ties!

List of preferred providers (these providers are picked by a board of specialists and will revise both posterior and lip ties without general anesthesia and give proper after care advice):

FaceBook group where many of the preferred providers offer advice, support, and can help you assess ties via picture:

The late Dr Brian Palmer has many presentations on the effects of ties and breastfeeding, as well as ties in adults (tons of pictures):

Never too late to fix it :) There are a bunch of adults in the FB group that have gotten revised! We'll be doing mine when we can afford it

My son is almost 12 months and has an obvious tongue tie (heart shaped). 3 different pedis said he was fine because he could stick his tongue out past his lips. We thankfully have been successful with bf in spite of this. I plan to talk to his pedi at his 12 month physical. Who should we see as there are no preferred providers in MN? A pediatric dentist? Is it likely he has a lip tie as well? I can't tell. I have read the information & want to get this taken care of!

Most people find it's worth the extra expense to travel (we were one of them, would have saved so much money in the long run!), but if it's just not possible join the group. You can make a post asking for recommendations that might not be quite ready for the list yet :)

He left home the day he turned 18, and unfortunately I don't know where he lives. He was living with his dad for a few years and his dad won't tell me either. But that's for another post in another group! lol
