Question about not nursing and milk

Ds finally seems to have quit nursing. Mostly. He hasn't nursed in 9 days, well hadnt until this morning. He asked again and I was way too exhausted to negotiate. He hadnt asked in all this time either so I said whatever. Anyway. Tonight I noticed his eye getting red. It did this the other day too do I decided to express some milk for drops. Um. Ok. So is it normal for my milk to already be super thick and almost yellow. It reminded me halfway of colostrum but milky. If that makes sense. Is that normal? Course I could only express about 8 drops total. 4from eaxh side. Sigh.

The only other thing I can think of is that I've read if it's really badly blocked, milk may come out thick and stringy, not sure about yellowish though. Believe I read that at kelly mom.

Milk just looks like that sometimes. You won't produce colostrum without pregnancy, but toddler milk tends to be a whole lot fattier so it sometimes looks thick andvyellow like that.

Awesome. Just what I was looking for. I mean I know it wasnt colostrum but it had a milky but colostrum kind of look. Even when I had colostrum it didnt look like that that I can remember.
