I work nights and pump. Last night on my way home I wound up in a ditch and because of that chaos I forgot to put my milk away when I first got home.

I found it just now.... 20 hrs later.

I can't stop crying over it. I ONLY pump just enough for him to eat the next day. Now I have no food for him.

That stinks. I've don't that. I'm glad your ok. When I hit the telephone pole on my way home last winter, I ended up taking the next day off because I was so sore. I'm not sure how your work/financial situation is, maybe you could do the same? Of not, just pump 2 times this morning instead of 1, if your schedule allows, and then see if baby can reverse cycle??

Can you take the day off? Not even just for nursing, but because you were just in an accident? How old is baby?

5 months. I didn't hurt myself or anything. It was just so snowy.

I'm off today so I'm going to try to pump.

Was the milk in a cooler?

If the milk was in a cooler with ice packs or in the car outside all night, it's likely fine.

If it was snowy it was probably refrigerator cold in the car. Did you throw it out already?

Whoever said 'there's no use crying over spilled milk' has never pumped! I am so sorry mama. Enjoy today with your baby!

Not in a cooler... i had it in my pump bag in the house. I put it in the fridge.

maybe I'll make milk soap or something.
