Myth, I think. I have never bottle fed but I believe it's 1 ounce for every hour you're away, to a maximum of 3 ounces per bottle.

 I think this a myth. Does breast milk change to accommodate a growing baby?

I know nothing about bottle feeding...always nursed on demand.
