Hi mamas! A little back ground. My oldest didn't latch after birth and I never tried once we were home so I pumped until I dried up at about 3 months. My middle child nursed until 10 months when he took his first bottle. My youngest nursed but had blood and mucus in his stool even after a very strict elimination diet and was switched to a hypoallergenic formula. His poops immediately cleared up. At 6 months we tried a regular formula and he had blood in his stool by the next morning, so back to the hypoallergenic stuff. Now that he just turned one we had a blood allergy test done and it came back negative so we have started Greek yogurt and bread (alternating every other day) and so far so good. Pediatrician says we should be able to start cows milk. Currently I use half coconut and half almond (he's almost 28 pounds so I don't want all the calories from straight almond milk) when cooking and formula in bottles. My question is could I get my milk back? I'm not interested in nursing but would love to pump. Has anyone done this? I had an extremely hard time dealing with not being able to nurse him (it still breaks my heart) and cried every time I made a bottle for weeks, so am I being silly and need to just move on? Thanks mamas!
