So I made a post about being in so much pain while bf well I'm 6days postpartum and I'm doing so much better no pain any more and bf is actually great for me I enjoy it, I did speak with a lactation consultant and she said because I wanted to do breast and pump she said they don't usually recommend this early but my baby girl is doing so well on the breast that I could introduce the bottle now I have and so far no nipple confusion I try to not allow her to continuously suck on the bottle and after about 6 sucks take bottle for a sec and give it back but she's doing awesome she does like being on the breast more but she also loves the bottle so I've been getting rest because dh can feed her. So here's my question I pump three times a day and nurse about four I freeze the milk I pump because its to much for her to finish in a day but I make about 8oz every time I pump so about 24oz , can I pump more then that a day I haven't really tried to but I am still soaking my nursing pads even with the pumping and nursing I do Ina day?
Ladies this is honestly the best decision I have made I have heard so many horror stories about bfing I was talked out of bfing my first child but bfing feels so great bonding with my baby and my baby literally only cries when being changed and when hungry she doesn't have colic like my first child did and I know it's because I bf, I get so much more rest, my first had to be switched from4 different formulas because of colic he kept me up all night with this one it's total opposite. I feel dumb for not bfing my first.
