Maybe the oddest question ever asked....but...

Posted by   + Show Post

Has anyone used breastmilk on one of their animals?? Ok I have a kitten with what appears to be a slight eye infection. I contacted my SIL who is a vet tech about what I should do but she hasn't responded yet. I was thinking maybe a drop of BM in it would do it some good. But I feel weird putting BM in a cats eye LOL I am sure my Hubby will find it insane. But it can't hurt right???

Do I win the oddest question in the breastfeeding group award?

Hell that's something I would do! It has amazing beneficial properties. And we are an animal species ;)

Won't hurt.

Try, it wont hurt nothing. Might save you some $$ in vet bills.

My mom has cats and in every litter at least one or two have an eye infection.

Awesome!!! So do you know is it pretty common for cats to get eye infections. I had tons of cats and kittens when I was young. But I don't specifically remember any eye infections. And its been years since I owned a cat. I just put some drops in it and he did pretty well. I will do it a few times a day and see if it helps! It really is a mild issue right now so hopefully I caught it before it gets worse!

I have! It helped some abandoned kitties we had with their eye infections
