Nipple pain?

Starting last night and in to today, my nipples hurt. They hurt to be touched or even brushing up against my shirt. It doesn't hurt while he's nursing, just aches afterwards. Also, I have an achy feeling throughout my body. I'm not sure if it's related to the nipple pain or if it's just from being tired (my son is 2 weeks old). Thoughts?

I had this problem off and on until just a few weeks ago. It takes a while for your nipples to adjust to baby's eating habits (even though baby is still trying to find their groove) mine would hurt to wear a bra or even a shirt. If anything touched them, I wanted to cry. Try lanolin (spelling) cream. Also something that helped me was to sleep with a towel under me and with out a shirt or bra. It sounds weird but the air really helped. It will get better, the first few weeks are the worst! But it is so worth it :)

Try some of your milk and coconut oil on the nipples for soothing and healing.
