Do not get the new Ameda pump

I've used the old Ameda purely yours with my 2 children until the motor died, it worked great. I then got a new one through my insurance company and it's terrible. It suctions unevenly and milk gets trapped into the suction cups and makes them stick when they try to inflate/deflate with the pump cycles making it lose suction. It's a design flaw that needs to be worked on. For now, do not purchase one until they fix this flaw.

It is frustrating! I have the Medela now and it's great. I know Ameda is recommended here because of the closed system. I just wanted to warn others against this one.

Call ameda i had a similar problem they overnighted me a new one that worked great. Intoo had an old one from my older children and had gotten rid of it thinking we were done. Surprise surprise baby on the way. Actually the new ameda pump was one of my first pregnancy purchases for the new baby. I only pump for comfort but new it was needed.
