Plugged duct??

Pretty sure I have a plugged duct. I've been massaging during feeding, feeding more often on that side, and did compressions in the shower. I can't dangle feed due to overactive letdown. My question is, will my breast be tender in that spot after the plug has cleared? My breast feels soft and emptied, but still extremely tender. Is this normal?

It sounds pretty normal, I've had that happen before and it went away after a few days of massaging. Sorry, it can be painful!!

Ouch! :( Sorry you are going through this! I have the same problem on my left nipple, but it does not cause me pain. I would be concerned about getting mastitis. Can you pump on that side? good luck

Yes, it may feel bruised for a day or two once it's cleared. Stupid question--can you dangle while you pump?

I can I just don't get very good results on that side with the pump so not sure it will help.

I had to massage a ton when I had mastitis, twice, and even after I was over mastitis, I was still bruised feeling from all the massaging. It did eventually go away after a few days though.

Yikes. I'm really hoping to catch it before it gets to that point.

Yes. After I got the clog out, the spot felt bruised for a while.
