A bit of a setback

I'm still breastfeeding, don't get me wrong! And I still feed from the breast as much as possible. But we've had to supplement due to supply issues. I was knocked down with bronchitis for a few days and the antibiotics did it.

We're still breastfeeding though! I haven't given up completely and I'm coming up on six months. I remember when I didn't think I'd make it past six weeks.

Take a nursing holiday. Stay in bed and nurse at every wiggle, and watch the diaper count. 5-6 minimum wet diapers every twenty-four hours, with soft, profuse poop when it happens. Look up galactagogues on Kellymom.com for some simple foods that will help bring supply back up. Six months is yet another growth spurt. Odds are, you're doing better than you think!
