Anyone with flat nipples?

I'm on day 10 of breastfeeding a baby with flat nipples.  Wearing breast shells 24/7 to help them protrude.  This is actually my first time going this long with any of my kids.  It hurts when I first latch on but the pain gets better as she nurses.  Still doesn't feel great, though her latch is good.  I guess it will get better.  I made the mistake of using a paci the other night when she wanted to comfort suck, and the next day she wasn't latching great.  So no more paci for a while.

Just curious if anyone else has flat/large nipples and how your breastfeeding journey has been.  How long you've been BFing, what things you did to help, did the pain get better??

The is a thing called a latch assist that you use just before you nurse to pull them out. Or, you can use a pump if you have one. Does your baby have lip or tongue ties?
